Some 80% of Armenian settlements to be provided with broadband internet by 2026
YEREVAN, December 8. /ARKA/. By 2026, some 80% of urban and rural communities across Armenia will have access to broadband Internet.
According to the government press service, this was announced during the presentation of the report on the activities of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the National Statistical Committee, 77% of business entities in Armenia provide internet access to their employees for practical purposes. The ICT sector provides the highest internet accessibility (92%), the lowest (46%) is provided by the Water Supply, Drainage, Waste Management and Recycling sector. -0-
